About Mr. Bednar

Hello! My name is Reid Bednar and I began my teaching career at Horizon in the fall of 2022. Prior to teaching at Horizon, I student taught at HMS and subbed for the KPS district for one semester. I feel so fortunate to now call Horizon home!

 

I am originally from Grand Island, Nebraska, graduating from Grand Island Senior High in 2017. I earned my degree in Middle Level Education with endorsements in Science and English Language Arts from UNK in 2021. 

 

My wife, Mila, and I live here in Kearney and have been married since March 2022. On my summers off, I take graduate classes at UNK in Educational Administration and mow lawns for Mullen Lawn Service!

 

In 7-3 Science, we will cover many aspects of physical science. Some topics that we cover are space, plate motion, rock transformations, phase change, chemistry, population, natural resources, ecosystems, and so much more!
