Welcome

Hello everyone,

I want to take time to introduce myself.  My name is Kara Estes and I am one of your school counselors. I will be supporting students at Horizon and Sunrise.  I will be at Sunrise on even days and Horizon on odd days.  

I went to UNK for my undergraduate degree in Social Science education and I have my masters in School Counseling from UNK as well. My husband, Aaron, works for UNK, and we have three children. I am excited to meet and support all of you as you begin this exciting school year! Horizon and Sunrise are great schools that I know you will love.

Our mission is to provide all students with high-quality, comprehensive counseling services that develop and strengthen academic, social-emotional and career skills.
